Dear all: I would like to share the sad news of the death of Mr Amrit Lal at the age of 93 on Tuesday 13 January 2026. Amrit was the beloved husband of Mrs Saroj Lal (who died on 12 March 2020), father of Vineet and Kavita Lal, and grandfather of Isha Lal Saini. He had been seriously ill since 13 December. The funeral, to which all are welcome, will take place at some point in February and full details will be announced when arrangements have been confirmed. In the meantime, you are welcome to pay your respects and offer condolences at the family home (13 Hatton Place, EH9 1UD) this coming weekend: Saturday 17 January and Sunday 18 January from 3-7pm, and Monday 19 January from 6-8pm.
