The coronavirus pandemic has proved to be the greatest physical, mental and financial emergency in living memory. It is affecting the way we all go about our daily lives.
The cancellation of 2020’s Festivals and events meant a lack of footfall and donations, which is the only source of revenue for our Mandir. As a financially independent charity that receives no public subsidy, your support is vital to us.
The only Hindu Mandir in Edinburgh has been the cornerstone for worship, learning, celebration, charity, and community well being, promoting peace and harmony. Strict lockdowns have impacted donations putting the mandir's financial standing and sustenance in jeopardy.
But it’s the generosity of our supporters that enables our place of worship to run and manage its day to day expenses. We rely on your support to keep us going.
Our humble request for communities is to encourage setting up a standing order of a Minimum of £5 each month. As a community, this will go a long way in ensuring steady revenue which is vital to continue Mandirs operations and various improvements it has undertaken.
